Day 1:
Jim dropped Max and I off at the airport 5:30am this morning. Both Max and I have been anxious about this flight. He, mainly because of scanners, and pat downs, and me because of my normal flying phobia.
So my phobia was helped with Xanax, which worked pretty good, except I did wake up after the first couple hours, which isn't good on a 6 hr flight.
Max on the other hand had it easy. We got to the airport prior to the two hr in advance so I think we beat all the people on our very big and very full flight. We were the only one's in line at the kiosk and the guy standing there tags our bags and we were on our way. They didn't ask anything. We got to security. There were no scanners at this security lines. Other than the usual pain in the ass things, like taking off shows...laptops in seperate containers from anything else, quart size bags and 3oz liquids, etc. There was one elderly lady getting a pat down and another mother of 3 boys (yes seemed to have been profiled due to her wearing muslim type garb). BUT Max and I sailed right through. No groping and or naked scanning of us this time!
We've arrived without much issue, just our plane delay in Honolulu, but I could think of worse places to get delayed.
We did walk down to ABay to see the Tsunami damage. Not too bad and plenty of places to enjoy the beach tomorrow!
We have caught up our emailing and our facebooking and stopped at the local Arby's for dinner, and are now off to bed.
